Chamber Operations vs. MemberClicks
A fair, sourced comparison of two membership software platforms what each does, how each charges, what's changed for MemberClicks in 2026, and one difference that decides it for some buyers.
Book a DemoThe short version
MemberClicks is an established association management software platform now offered in two flavors MC Trade for organizations with group/business memberships (chambers, trade associations) and MC Professional for organizations with individual professional members. It's been around for years and serves more than 3,000 member-based organizations in North America.
Chamber Operations is a modern, all-in-one alternative built and maintained by Blue Parrot Software, an Edinburg, Texas company. Feature coverage between the two platforms is broadly similar at the core; the more honest differences are in pricing structure and contract terms, payment handling, purchasing pathways, and a 2026 ownership change at MemberClicks that current customers should understand.
If you're a government-affiliated chamber or a public-sector member organization, one difference is decisive: Chamber Operations is available through Texas DIR and GSA MAS. MemberClicks is not known to offer either.
Where the platforms overlap
Membership management with tiers, dues, and renewals
Event registration and management
A member portal
A built-in website / web presence
Email and member communications
MemberClicks splits into two products that target different organizational shapes MC Trade for group/business memberships (chambers, trade associations), MC Professional for individual professional members (with features like continuing-education tracking). Chamber Operations is a single product that handles both structures through configurable membership tiers, rather than two separately-priced platforms.
Pricing posture
This is the area where the comparison is most concrete, because MemberClicks publishes pricing publicly on its own site.
MC Trade starts at $3,500 per year. MC Professional starts at $4,500 per year. Both figures are listed on MemberClicks' own pricing page, and the page notes that "typical contracts are for 1 year, but we offer multi-year contracts at a discounted rate." Above the entry tiers, MemberClicks pricing is quote-based.
Third-party analysis documents that the MC Professional pricing ladder buyers see in proposals scales from approximately $3,108/year for organizations with up to 300 members to $7,188/year for organizations with up to 10,000 members, with add-on modules (LMS, community module, conference app, job board) and transaction fees on top.
Multiple third-party sources report a roughly 20% price increase rolled across MemberClicks' customer base in July 2023. Reviewers consistently flag annual-minimum contract terms and renewal-pricing surprises as items to address during your initial negotiation. None of this is unique to MemberClicks — quote-based renewal hikes happen across the category — but it's specific enough to be worth raising with your sales contact before you sign.
Chamber Operationsis offered in Basic, Professional, and Enterprise plans scaled to organization size, with quotes scoped per organization. We don't publish dollar figures publicly; for a like-for-like comparison, request quotes from both vendors covering the same membership size, contract length, and add-on needs.
How payments work
MemberClicks supports common payment methods through integrated processors and offers a range of add-on modules including an LMS, community module, conference app, and job board that are priced separately on top of the base subscription. Transaction fees apply on payments processed through the platform.
Chamber Operations supports multiple payment methods directly:Square and ACH bank transfer for automated, recurring payments, plus CashApp, Venmo, and Zelle. Members can pay through the method that's easiest for them, and the core operation (membership, dues, events, directory, news, website) is included rather than priced as separate modules.
Neither model is universally right. If you need a deep LMS for continuing education, a separate community platform, or a job board, MemberClicks has dedicated add-ons for those. If you want the day-to-day chamber operation in one platform and your members to pay the way they already pay, Chamber Operations is the simpler fit.

Book a DemoHow you can purchase
This is the difference most likely to be decisive for public-sector or public-affiliated buyers.
Chamber Operations is available through Texas DIR and GSA MAS. Blue Parrot Software is an approved Texas DIR vendor with an active Vendor ID, holds an active GSA Multiple Award Schedule contract, and is Texas HUB-certified.
MemberClicks does not appear on the Texas DIR contract search or in publicly available GSA Schedule listings as of this writing , and the same applies to its parent companies Personify and Momentive Software. You can verify this directly at the Texas DIR vendor search; you won't find MemberClicks, Personify, or Momentive Software as DIR vendors there.
For a chamber tied to a municipality, county, or state entity, this often isn't a "nice-to-have" it determines whether your procurement office can approve the purchase through an existing contract vehicle or has to run a full standalone solicitation.
A note on MemberClicks' ownership in 2026
This isn't a knock; it's a fact current and prospective MemberClicks customers should know about. On January 6, 2026, Momentive Software (a TA Associates portfolio company) acquired Personify, folding MemberClicks into a roll-up reported to span 37,000 customers. MemberClicks was previously acquired by Personify in December 2020. The product continues to ship updates.
What this means for buyers is straightforward: ask your MemberClicks contact directly what changes if any to product roadmap, pricing, contract terms, and support are planned or possible under the new ownership. Ownership changes don't automatically mean negative changes, but they do mean it's a reasonable time to ask the questions.
Chamber Operations is built and maintained by Blue Parrot Software, an independent Edinburg, Texas software company. The development team and the company you're contracting with are the same entity.
Security and compliance
TX-RAMP Level 2 compliant — Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program at the higher-impact tier
PCI DSS-compliant payment handling
WCAG-accessible interfaces
AWS-backed infrastructure (CloudFront, Route 53, auto-managed SSL)
MemberClicks has its own security posture; we don't speculate on specifics we can't source publicly. If security and compliance details matter for your evaluation, request both vendors' current certifications and audit summaries side by side.
What MemberClicks does well
It has a long track record in the AMS market, with more than 3,000 customers and depth of features built up over many years. MemberClicks publishes its starting pricing openly, which is genuinely uncommon in this category and helps buyers level-set early. Third-party reviewers on GetApp and G2 consistently praise MemberClicks' customer support responsiveness and patience come up repeatedly and several reviews note good value for the price relative to higher-tier alternatives. For an association with individual professional members that needs a dedicated AMS with continuing-education tracking, MC Professional is built specifically for that use case.
Where Chamber Operations is the better fit
Chamber Operations is the right choice when:
You're a government-affiliated chamber or public-sector member organization that needs to purchase through Texas DIR or GSA MAS
You want your members to pay through the methods they already use (Square, ACH, CashApp, Venmo, Zelle) rather than routing everyone through one proprietary gateway
You want the core operation in one platform rather than building up a base subscription with separate modules (LMS, community, conference app, job board) priced on top
You value working directly with the company that builds the product Blue Parrot Software develops, implements, supports, and maintains Chamber Operations rather than a vendor several layers deep in a private-equity portfolio
