Chamber Operations vs. ChamberNation
A fair, sourced comparison of two different approaches to chamber software one SaaS platform, one service-led model and which fits which kind of chamber.
Book a DemoThe short version
ChamberNation (a division of EcTownUSA, LLC) is a chamber of commerce software platform with a distinctive model: alongside the membership management system, ChamberNation runs a hands-on Membership Services Department that helps build digital profiles, design your chamber website, and operate a staffed member help center. Its pricing is per-member rather than tiered subscription.
Chamber Operations is a modern, all-in-one SaaS platform built and maintained by Blue Parrot Software, an Edinburg, Texas company. You configure and run the operation yourself through a staff admin panel and a mobile-first member portal — the platform does the work, not a managed-services team alongside it.
This is the most genuinely different of the comparisons in this series. The honest summary: if you want a vendor team to do significant operational work alongside the software, ChamberNation is built around that. If you want a self-service SaaS platform with broad payment-method support and a real government procurement pathway, Chamber Operations is built around that.
If you're a government-affiliated chamber or a public-sector member organization, one difference is still decisive: Chamber Operations is available through Texas DIR and GSA MAS. ChamberNation is not known to offer either.
Two different models in the same category
ChamberNation packages software with services
Their Membership Services Department researches and builds out each member's digital profile, designs a professional chamber website, and provides a staffed member help center for onboarding and ongoing support. For a chamber with limited staff capacity, that "you're investing in a team, not just the tech" framing is the explicit pitch.Chamber Operations is a SaaS platform that runs itself
Members join through public, SaaS-style signup that creates their record and first invoice automatically. Staff manage everything from one admin panel. Implementation help is part of onboarding, but ongoing operation is something your chamber staff does in the platform, not something a vendor team does for you.Pricing posture
This is where the platforms differ most concretely.
ChamberNation uses per-member pricing. Per ChamberNation's own pricing page, the standard rate is approximately $1.35 per member per month, dropping to $1.00 or less through their Pippily volume-discount tier, with "significant discounts" available for chambers with 500–1,000+ members. The MembershipWorks 2026 chamber software roundup reports a starting figure of $125/month or $1.25 per member per month, with the per-member option available through Pippily.
A separate ChamberNation sponsored-system program bills new members to the chamber at $1.25 per business per month with a one-time $25 research and onboarding fee, while sponsors fund the setup through a separate split arrangement.
Several capabilities are priced separately, per MembershipWorks' analysis and ChamberNation's own pages: member apps, attendee apps, and public apps carry additional fees, custom website design carries additional costs beyond the standard themes, and ChamberLife retention tool is an additional fee. SMS messaging is offered at a documented add-on price (~$20/month for up to 1,000 messages).
Chamber Operations is offered in Basic, Professional, and Enterprise plans scaled to organization size, with quotes scoped per organization. The core operation membership, dues, events, directory, news, custom-domain website, member portal is included rather than priced as separate modules or apps.
For chambers of similar size, request a like-for-like quote from both: chambers with smaller, lower-revenue memberships often find per-member pricing attractive; chambers with high-value memberships or unusual structures often find subscription pricing more predictable. Both vendors can scope realistic numbers if you give them the same brief.
How you can purchase
This is the difference most likely to be decisive for public-sector or public-affiliated buyers.
Chamber Operations is available through Texas DIR and GSA MAS. Blue Parrot Software is an approved Texas DIR vendor with an active Vendor ID, holds an active GSA Multiple Award Schedule contract, and is Texas HUB-certified.
ChamberNation does not appear on the Texas DIR contract search or in publicly available GSA Schedule listings as of this writing, and the same applies to its parent EcTownUSA, LLC. You can verify this directly at the Texas DIR vendor search; neither name appears in current DIR vendor listings.
For a chamber tied to a municipality, county, or state entity, this often determines whether procurement can approve the purchase through an existing contract vehicle or has to run a full standalone solicitation.

Book a DemoHow payments work
ChamberNation handles payments through its platform, with billing tied to member records. Specific payment-method and processor details aren't publicly documented in a way we can cite precisely, so we'd recommend asking ChamberNation directly which gateways and member-side payment options are supported on the plan you're evaluating.
Security and compliance
TX-RAMP Level 2 compliant — Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program at the higher-impact tier
PCI DSS-compliant payment handling
WCAG-accessible interfaces
AWS-backed infrastructure (CloudFront, Route 53, auto-managed SSL)
Blue Parrot Software is Texas HUB-certified
ChamberNation has its own security posture; we don't speculate on specifics we can't source publicly. If security and compliance details matter for your evaluation — and they should if you're a public-affiliated chamber — request both vendors' current certifications and audit summaries side by side.
What ChamberNation does well
In the spirit of an honest comparison: ChamberNation has real strengths worth naming.
The service-led model is a genuine differentiator for chambers that don't have technical staff capacity to run a SaaS platform actively. ChamberNation's team building out member digital profiles, designing the chamber website on one of their themes, and running a staffed member help center is real, tangible work — and per the framing on their own site, "investing in a team, not just the tech" is the central promise. For a chamber with one or two staff and a long member list, having a vendor team handling the heavy lifting can be the difference between a working platform and a stale one.
ChamberNation publishes per-member pricing transparently on its own site, which is uncommon in this category. The per-member model also aligns vendor cost with actual member-count — useful for chambers where membership is the right base unit of value.
ChamberNation is also independent: a division of EcTownUSA, LLC, not part of a larger AMS roll-up or private-equity portfolio. For chambers that value working with a focused, founder-led vendor rather than a layered ownership structure, that matters.
Where Chamber Operations is the better fit
Chamber Operations is the right choice when:
You're a government-affiliated chamber or public-sector member organization that needs to purchase through Texas DIR or GSA MAS
You want a self-service SaaS platform rather than a services-led model — your chamber staff runs the platform day-to-day rather than relying on a vendor's services team
You want your members to pay through the methods they already use(Square, ACH, CashApp, Venmo, Zelle)
You want the core operation in one platform without member apps, attendee apps, public apps, and custom website design billed as separate add-ons
Your chamber runs on subscription budgeting rather than per-member billing — predictable plan pricing fits your finance team better
